The Chelsea arrived in London before reaching its wardrobe.
Created for London Fashion Week, the Chelsea hit the runway on Juliana Calori’s shoulder at the end of the show. The next day, that image was making the rounds in the European press. Its debut became part of the brand’s history.

Our Story · Since 2009
From a first design in Belo Horizonte
to the runways of London.
At 23, Juliana Calori designed her first bag, which won an award in a competition organized by the newspaper Estado de Minas. The creation led to an invitation to work at Luiza Barcelos. She decided to forge her own path and start her brand.
Aos 23, Juliana Calori desenhou sua primeira bolsa, premiada em um concurso do jornal Estado de Minas. A criação trouxe um convite para trabalhar na Luiza Barcelos. A decisão foi seguir um caminho próprio e começar a marca.
A {E}PORTARE was born in the backyard of the founder's parents' home in Belo Horizonte. Production began with the challenge of finding skilled labor to turn the designs into pieces. Gradually, customers from other states arrived. From 2015 onward, Instagram helped bring the creations to more women.
The Minas Gerais-inspired designs were showcased in different seasons of London Fashion Week, in Doha, and at a luxury rental store in Berlin. In Paris, the brand received an award at the Best of Brazil in Europe event, held at the Eiffel Tower.
“It's not just about bags. It's about self-esteem, happiness, and well-being.” The founder's words summarize the intention behind this journey. It is reflected in the easy-to-open clasp, the strap that rests comfortably on the shoulder, and the care taken to create a piece that becomes part of the life of the person who uses it.
